CWW MISSIONS STATEMENT

Canwax West (CWW) celebrates encaustic art through educational opportunities and support for the encaustic community of artists in Western Canada.

Canwax West is committed to:

·Providing one major educational opportunity per year under the tutelage of an exceptional encaustic artist.  CWW members will have
​ an opportunity to pre-register for the course.

·Circulating information about training opportunities in Western Canada. 

·Supporting encaustic artists on their journey by providing monthly gatherings (known as the Circle), which encourages ideas, critiques
  and casual introduction to new techniques. Canwax West will encourage other communities to develop the “circle model”.

·Organizing the annual “Waxing Poetic” art show in the Okanagan and will encourage other communities to hold “Waxing Poetic
 shows.

·Organizing an annual art show entitled “Brilliant Moments” in memory of Thea Haubrich.

·Advertising CWW art shows through social media, newspapers and radio. CWW will produce posters and distribute them.  

· Seeking opportunities for members to display their work and passing onto those opportunities to members through through facebook,
  email or the Circles.

·Maintaining a website and a facebook page, which will share encaustic news and training opportunities.
